Tempe High School football is led by Sean Freeman, who has taken on the challenge of rebuilding and stabilizing a historic program in Tempe, Arizona. Competing in Arizona high school football, the Buffaloes field varsity, junior varsity, and freshman teams and serve a diverse student-athlete population. Under Coach Freeman’s leadership, the program focuses on restoring pride, consistency, and structure while competing in a demanding regional landscape.

Coach Freeman is known for a coaching style that blends accountability with mentorship. He emphasizes discipline, effort, and personal responsibility, pushing players to grow not only as athletes but as young men. His approach centers on culture-building—establishing trust, resilience, and teamwork—especially important for a program that has faced competitive and resource-related challenges in recent years. Players are expected to show up, work hard, and represent their school with integrity on and off the field.
